The Pohlbock: a new electric crosser from Germany
Of the seven major dirt bike manufacturers, KTM is the only one to offer an electric machine with their Freeride. However, that is not a thoroughbred crosser. It seems that the German Pohlbock is the first to offer a ready-made machine because they can be ordered on their website.
Pohlbock stands for the two driving forces behind Romano Pohl and Florian Bockstaller. The two had been crazy about motocross for some time, but they were also nature lovers and so the idea of developing an electric motocross bike was born. Pohl and Bockstaller did their homework very well because it looks like this Pohlbock eBock S210 sets a new standard in the world of e-crossers.
The numbers prove that this S210 is not the least. How about 24KW power, from 30 to 90 minutes of racing with one battery charge, charging in 30 minutes and a total weight of 105 kg. This dirt bike is the equivalent of a 250F. The engine has a force of 160 Nm and can be driven for 350 hours without maintenance. The machine - and especially the electrical part - is made with the IP69K standard, which means that these parts can be washed with a high-pressure cleaner.
The electronics give you the choice between 8 mappings and are equipped with overheating protection. The 36 Volt battery is designed to be quickly exchanged with a charged one. This eBock S210 has a standard Husqvarna frame equipped with a Kayaba 48mm front fork and a Sachs shock absorber at the rear. You can buy a Pohlbock from 9.799 excluding the desired battery pack and charger.
The company is located in the Black Forest and more specifically in the hamlet of Brenden, which is not far from the Swiss border. On the website from the brand you will find everything you need to know about this e-crosser and you can also order one immediately in their webshop.
