Yamaha and Fantic acquire Motori Minarelli.
Fantic Motor and Yamaha Motor Europe have signed a deal with Motori Minarelli. Fantic takes over all shares of Minarelli, meaning that the engine manufacturers are now fully owned by Fantic Motor and Yamaha.
The operation will strengthen the existing synergy between Yamaha Motor Europe and Fantic Motor to take the collaboration between both companies to the next level in the field of motorcycles and e-mobility.
“The strengthening of the partnership with Yamaha Motor Europe and the acquisition of Motori Minarelli represents an important step for Fantic Motor to further strengthen our position as a technological leader in the production of motorcycles, e-bikes and e-mobility products in Italy,” said Mariano Roman, CEO of Fantic Motor. “We will work together to further enhance Motori Minarelli's know-how in engines and e-powertrain, broaden the production range and offer Motori Minarelli customers competitive, advanced technology powertrains, while maintaining current employment levels.”
“We are extremely pleased with the completion of this important partnership,” said Eric de Seynes, President of Yamaha Motor Europe. “The long-term partnership between Yamaha Motor Europe and Fantic Motor will create the conditions for a smooth transition to the new business plan and will enable Motori Minarelli to continue its mission while maintaining its identity. The deal will also create a strong future for Motori Minarelli within the Italian industry, leaving the company perfectly positioned to implement new business activities and expand its offering.”
This partnership – based on the shared core values of honesty, consistency, innovation and product excellence – creates stronger synergies between Fantic Motor's deep market knowledge, creativity and proactiveness, and Yamaha Motor's reputation, state of the art quality and strong manufacturing expertise.
