Ricky Brabec wins Dakar Rally prologue
Today the very short prologue of the 2021 edition of the Dakar Rally was held. This serves to determine the starting order of the first stage. Ricky Brabec, who won the famous rally last year, showed off his calling card by winning this prologue. His Honda teammate Joan Barreda finished second.
The 11 km prologue ran along a route in Jeddah itself. Our compatriot Walter Roelants clocked 85th while northern neighbor Paul Spierings is 37th managed to finish. Tomorrow the actual Dakar Rally starts with stage 1 departing in Jeddah and arriving in Bisha. Here on MXMag you will be able to read a daily report of the match in Saudi Arabia. Stay tuned!
