Jett Lawrence takes his first win!
Last Saturday evening the first race of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship EastCoast did not go smoothly for Jett Lawrence. During 'Houston2' the Honda rider took the bull by the horns! The Australian takes the lead on the first lap and never relinquishes it! Colt Nichols comes in second ahead of teammate Christian Craig. Craig remains the leader on three points after two games, followed by Nichols.
In the final over 15 minutes and a lap, Lawrence takes the best start ahead of RJ Hampshire and Austin Forkner. The Kawasaki rider quickly takes over second place, but due to a mistake he loses two places! Mitchell Oldenburg can be caught back quickly, but Hampshire simply gives up. In the event of a collision, both riders fall and that is beneficial for Craig and Nichols. This duo battles for second place far behind Lawrence's back. This goes to Nichols who makes a nice catch-up race and Craig crosses the finish line in third. Fourth place goes to GasGas thanks to Michael Mosiman and Jo Shimoda completes the top five ahead of teammate Forkner.
