Top transfer for the Coenen brothers to Bud Racing!
Bud Racing Kawasaki announced its plans for 2021 today. The French team will compete in the EMX250 with Haakon Fredriksen (18) and Quentin Prugnieres (15). Next year there will also be a lot of Belgian input. In addition to Amandine Verstappen in the WMX, Sacha and Lucas Coenen (13) are included in the new Bud Racing Junior Team!
The Belgian twins competed this season with their own CJT Racing team with support from KTM Belgium. For 2021, Sacha and Lucas Coenen will appear in a professional structure. This season Sacha made a big impression in France where he dominated the 85cc championship and convincingly took the title.
Stephane Dasse: “Both the brothers compete in the EMX125, they will also continue in the French championship and take their first steps in supercross. Last but least, the intention is to gain experience through our American team in some youth competitions in the US! At Bud Racing, the Coenen brothers can not only count on multi-year support, they will also work together with team coach Thierry Van Den Bosch.”
Van Den Bosch has been a coach at Bud Racing for several years, and the former Supermoto champion also works for the French federation and the French MX of Nations team. For their preparation, the riders will spend a lot of time at the sandy Bud Racing Training Camp in Magescq. In addition, internships in Spain and the US are provided.
