GP victory Cairoli, series victory Desalle!
In the first heat Tim Gajser managed to control the race. In the second moto the Honda rider did not get further than fourth place. By crossing the finish line in second place in both heats, Antonio Cairoli is the winner of the sixteenth GP. The KTM rider thus records his 92nd GP victory. The second race is won by Clement Desalle, the Kawasaki rider manages to leave Cairoli behind and the 'MX-Panda' (6-1) can climb onto the podium. Brian Bogers (12-9) finished eleventh today ahead of Jeremy Van horebeek (13-11) and Brent Van doninck (16-10). Gajser now has a 73 point lead in the championship with two games to go.

From pole position, Gajser makes a great start and takes the lead ahead of Cairoli, Arnaud Tonus, Jeremy Seewer and Alessandro Lupino! The reigning world champion quickly distances himself and controls the match. The Honda rider's leading position is never in danger. Cairoli comes second ahead of Seewer who needed more than ten minutes to pass compatriot Tonus. Gautier Paulin has been chasing Lupino for more than 20 minutes and when he passes the Frenchman distances himself. He then makes the jump to Tonus and in the last two laps the 30-year-old rider displaces his Swiss teammate. Tonus crosses the finish line in fifth place, which ensures that Louis Vosters sees his trio finish in the top five. Desalle is the best Laaglander, the Kawasaki rider crosses the finish line in sixth place. In the first corner Romain Febvre crashes and that also brings Brian Bogers to the ground. The 24-year-old KTM rider returns to twelfth place ahead of Jeremy Van Horebeek. Brent Van Doninck scores five points in 16th place.
2e some
As the sun sets behind the mountains, the starting gate for the second heat falls. Cairoli takes the best start but at the exit of the second corner Seewer takes the lead. Due to a mistake, Cairoli loses second place to Desalle, who sees the Swiss crash a little later. The Kawasaki rider grabs the lead with both hands and Cairoli tries to take it away throughout the race. The 35-year-old Italian tries left and right, but De Waal puts his elbows out and does not give the nine-time champion a chance to take the lead. Cairoli comes second and with that he wins the GP because Gajser does not get further than fourth place. The World Cup leader tries to displace Paulin, but the Frenchman does not succumb to the pressure and he therefore finishes third ahead of Gajser. Seewer completes the top five. Bogers now crosses the finish line in ninth place ahead of substitute Van Doninck and Van Horebeek.
The World Cup continues next Wednesday in Arco!
