Gajser wins, Paulin on the podium, Seewer takes silver
The last Grand Prix of the season was won by Tim Gajser. The Slovenian finished second and first on the Arco di Trento circuit, taking the overall ahead of Romain Febvre (1-2) and Gautier Paulin (4-3). So Paulin says goodbye in style with third place. Jeremy Seewer (photo) takes silver in the final standings because Antonio Cairoli does not finish the second heat. Brian Bogers ends the year well, the KTM rider finishes fifth during the second moto ahead of the once again very impressive Brent Van Doninck!
1e some
Ivo Monticelli takes the best start in the first round, the GasGas rider is followed by Gajser, Seewer, Tonus and Febvre. After three laps it is Gajser who takes the lead from Monticelli while Febvre quickly works his way to the front. The Kawasaki rider passes the Yamaha riders and when Monticelli makes a mistake the Frenchman ends up in second place. After almost ten minutes, Gajser goes wide and Febvre slips through to the lead. The Slovenian tries to come back, but that doesn't work and Febvre wins the first round. Gajser comes second ahead of Seewer, Gautier Paulin and Arnaud Tonus. Seewer is doing well in the title battle, he passes Cairoli who crosses the finish line in sixth place. Desalle crosses the finish line in seventh place, while Brent Van Doninck unfortunately does not finish. Bogers does reach the finish but he does not score any points.
2e some
In his last round of his very impressive career, Paulin makes the best start. The Frenchman wins the FOX Holeshot Award while Tonus and Cairoli hit each other and go out of bounds! Fortunately, they both stay upright, but the match comes to an early end for Cairoli. The gear lever broke off during the collision! Seewer takes the lead but then drops back to fourth place. Gajser takes the lead and the Honda rider wins the moto and the grand finale! Febvre hasn't had the best start but he comes back strongly to second place ahead of Paulin. Seewer therefore comes fourth ahead of Bogers and Van Doninck.
The season is over and despite the problems with the corona virus, Infront Moto Racing managed to get eighteen more races on the calendar. There is no calendar available yet for 2021, the intention is for the calendar to be published later this month.
