Antoine Magain takes historic bronze in E1 final standings!
What Dietger Damiaens and Mathias Van Hoof showed this season in the World Cup Open 4S was impressive. What fellow countryman Antoin Magain achieved is undoubtedly historic for Belgian enduro!
The Sherco factory rider ended his first year among the big boys with bronze. Antoine finished 1rd in the E 3 after Andrea Verona (TM) and Thomas Oldrati (Honda).
The 2019 La Chinelle winner collected many highlights in this shortened World Championship: several podium places, including a second place in E1, and an impressive second place on Saturday in “Portugal 1”. During the same race, Antoine also recorded his first EnduroGP scratch and took a strong top-5 in the EnduroGP.
In the final score, the AMC Eau Noire Nismes pilot occupies a nice ninth place in the EnduroGP, so to speak the World Scratch Championship. Antoine Magain: “This season I have often driven as best I can and also pushed my limits. Some days things weren't going well, but even then I kept going. When I got a view of the final podium in the E1, I definitely wanted that bronze medal. I'm very happy that it worked out and I'm also happy that I'm back home after a few tough weeks!”
