Another third place for Van de Moosdijk!
On a tough Lommel circuit, Roan van de Moosdijk scored a third place during the fourteenth Grand Prix of the season in the second round. The Kawasaki rider even managed to lead the second moto for 18 minutes. The 20-year-old rider finished third, while Roan finished twelfth in the overall standings after he unfortunately did not finish the first heat. Mathys Boisrame and Mikkel Haarup will no longer play this year due to injuries.
1st Round
After his third training session, Roan starts the first heat well. He comes out of the first corner fifth and then works his way up to third place in four corners. Geerts is in the lead for Vialle and the Kawasaki rider is looking at the duo who are fighting for the world title. It remains like this for the first ten minutes, while fourth man Rubini is almost 20 seconds behind. Roan increases the pressure on World Cup leader Vialle to take over second place. Unfortunately, it doesn't come to that because Roan's engine stops and his race ends prematurely.

The technicians have once again delivered professional work and Roan immediately repays the hard work. The start is good and after Geerts makes the best start, the former EMX250 champion slips past. Geerts and Vialle follow, making it almost a copy of the first heat. After ten minutes, Geerts launches an attack on the leading position, but Roan cannot be passed. The Belgian tries again eight minutes later and this time with success. Vialle takes advantage and is also able to slip past Roan. A few corners later, leader Geerts crashes, causing Roan to climb back up to second place. Vialle speeds up and Roan chooses his own pace. Until the last lap this seems to be enough for second place, but Watson can still strike in the last lap and he comes second ahead of the Leatt-clad rider.
