Van de Moosdijk on the GP podium for the fourth time!
In Mantova, Roan van de Moosdijk finished on the GP podium for the fourth time this year. The F&H Kawasaki MX2 RacingTeam rider finished fifth and third on the Italian sand circuit. That gave him third place in the daily rankings behind Thomas Kjer Olsen and Tom Vialle. Mathys Boisrame managed to fight off the pain and rode well in the points in both heats. The Frenchman finished twelfth while Mikkel Haarup unfortunately failed to score. Vialle is the leader in the standings with eight games to go.
1st Round
For the fourth time this year, Roan managed to take pole position. The sprint to the first corner is won by Gifting followed by Mikkel, Mathys, Geerts, Vialle and Roan! Mikkel finishes the first full lap in fourth place and Roan follows in sixth place. Mathys continues to suffer from his injury sustained in Faenza, but he is gritting his teeth! The Frenchman comes tenth from the first round and then fights hard for every point. In the second laps Kjer Olsen takes over fourth place from Mikkel and Roan also passes the 19-year-old Dane. A little later, the three-time Dutch champion Haarup unfortunately had bad luck and had to leave the match. Roan has a firm grip on fifth place until leader Geerts makes a mistake. This allows the Brabander to take over fourth place. In the second half of the race, Watson comes up and the Briton manages to take over fourth place from Roan, who finishes the first heat in fifth place. Mathys works as hard as possible and his efforts are rewarded with six GP points.
2e some
While the leaves are falling from the trees, the starting gate for the second round is also falling. From the inside, Roan gets off to a very good start and he seems to take the 'Holeshot Award'. However, it is Vialle who has chosen a starting spot a little further out and he does not brake. The Frenchman narrowly gets the best start ahead of Roan while Mikkel is involved in a collision between 2 colleagues. The KX250F rider hurts himself because he gets stuck between the handlebars of his neighbor who falls and returns to the team truck disappointed. During the first half of the race, Roan is in second place and looks into the back of the World Cup leader. Then the group of Beaton, Geerts and Kjer Olsen join Roan, who has lost the pace for a while. He loses three places but doesn't panic for a moment and finds himself again! He manages to get Beaton back and when Geerts falls, third place goes to Roan. The reigning EMX250 champion scores another great podium place. Mathys makes a mistake in the initial phase, but he manages to fight back to ninth place!
