Twan Wagenaar satisfied with ADAC Youngster Cup
Max Spies took the crown yesterday in the ADAC Youngster Cup in Tensfeld. The Maddii Husqvarna rider (photo below) won both heats on Sunday, which also put the title fight in his favor. Lion Florian (WZ Racing) became vice-champion, but two-stroke rider Twan Wagenaar once again put himself in the spotlight. After all, Wagenaar finished 8th in the daily rankings!
Two bad starts did not prevent Twan from coming back strong every time. In the first moto he quickly climbed into the top 10 to finish 7th. Although it took a little longer to get into his rhythm at the end, the 17-year-old pilot from Epe managed to get into the top 10 again in his first ADAC Youngster Cup weekend. Wagenaar finished 9th and was rightly satisfied afterwards. .
Jarni Kooij finished 14th in the final standings, but performed well especially in the second heat. The Becker Racing pilot battled from 16th to 9th. In the final standings of the ADAC Youngster Cup, Kooij finished 16th. Sander Hofstede only scored on Saturday. He finished 27th in Tensfeld.
