Tixier champion, Renkens 2nd in the day standings
The second MX Masters day in Tensfeld largely confirmed yesterday's power relations. Jordi Tixier not only took the two heats today, he also won the shortened 2020 Adac MX Masters championship in a dominant manner. Nathan Renkens finished 2nd and 4th today, placing him convincingly second in the day's standings.
The same Renkens took over command from Tom Koch after 3 laps in the first race. However, the KTM Belgium rider had to give his thumbs up to Tixier. The ex-MX2 world champion won with a 22 second lead over Renken, Pascal Rauchenecker finished third. Back at the front was Hoboken resident Kevin Wouts (photo below)! The Pfeil-Kawasaki substitute had a great start and finished seventh.
There was also a lot of Belgian input in the last round of the championship. After Jérémy Delincé's holeshot, Tixier quickly took over the lead and never relinquished it. Jordi crossed the line with an eleven-second lead over Latvian Karlis Sabulis (WZ Racing KTM). Rauchenecker was again third ahead of the Belgian duo Renkens – Delincé. In the final match, Wouts came in at 11thof.
