EMX250:
It rains in Mantova during the training sessions on Saturday morning. Tim is looking for the right lines, but a free lap is not possible. The 18-year-old rider is not satisfied with a fourteenth starting position. The first start is not that good, but fortunately a lot can be made up for in the first lap. Tim comes out of the first lap in tenth place at the rear wheel of Corti. This is not easy to pass, so De Wolf can connect. This passes Tim, but he also fails to pass Corti and falls. After almost 25 minutes, Benistant manages to join the battle. He passes Tim and not much later also Corti. Tim learns from his Yamaha colleague and manages to displace Corti from ninth place in the closing stages.
The second heat starts less well and the Alpinestars-clad crosser is included in the midfield. The right pace is quickly found, allowing him to climb to twelfth place without any problems. Tuani widens and takes Tim out of his rhythm. De Wolf closes and passes both and he manages to pass Conijn in the last lap. Tim manages to pass Tuani, but he is unable to get Conijn out of the top ten. The Riley Racing driver crosses the finish line in eleventh place.
