Will Nancy van de Ven finish the job in Arco?
Tomorrow the last race of the FIM WMX World Championship will be held at the Arco di Trento circuit. The big question for the Dutch speaker is whether Nancy van de Ven will finish the job. The Zeelander comes to the final with four points ahead of Courtney Duncan. In addition, Larissa Papenmeier (-6) and Kiara Fontanesi (-10) also certainly have a chance of winning the world title.
For a number of seasons, Duncan has been the fastest lady on the New Zealand machine and regularly steps from there. Last year she only did that once and promptly took the title with a 36-point lead. This season there seemed to be no problem until she made a mistake in Mantova 1. She crashed hard in the second heat and did not finish due to damage to her machine.
Van de Ven's 'worst' ranking is fifth place twice and because of her regularity she is in the lead. Duncan won four heats this season, Fontanesi and Papenmeier both took the maximum number of points once.
It will certainly be exciting because the top four are a class better than the other ladies. The differences are minimal and that is why the difference between the top four is only ten points.
Tomorrow at 13.30:15.35 PM and XNUMX:XNUMX PM the heats from Italy, we are watching with excitement and hope for the Wilhelmus!
