Last chance for EMX125 podium for Floran Miot
After a solid day of competition and second sixth places, Florian Miot Lommel 2 finished fourth in the EMX125 final standings. The talented KTM Diga Junior Racing rider now gets his last chance for a podium on Saturday.
After the EMX250 on Tuesday, the EMX125 will also be held tomorrow. In the battle for the title, Italian Andrea Bonacorsi is almost certain of the title. The Fantic rider is 38 points ahead of his only remaining rival for the championship: the Spaniard David Braceras. Although the latter won in Lommel 2, Bonacorsi came second.
Florian Miot started his season with a third place in Matterley Basin. The former French 125cc champion hopes to end his season with another podium finish tomorrow. In Lommel 1, Miot finished fourth with Haakon Osterhagen. Last Tuesday, despite a poorer match, he finished fourth again, this time on equal points with Andrea Roncoli and Pietro Razzini.
Florian Miot: “There certainly could have been more on Tuesday! I had two good starts, but in the first moto I never really got into my rhythm. I really struggled and came sixth. In the second moto I was third for a long time, within sight of the leaders. Due to a mistake a few laps from the end, I crossed the line in sixth place. It would be nice to end the championship with a podium. I have already been there twice, so it certainly looks like it will happen.”
