Olsen and Beaton in the hunt for third place
Jed Beaton and Thomas Kjer Olsen currently occupy fourth and fifth place respectively in the FIM MX2 World Championship. Both are still in third place in the final standings, but this position is currently held by Maxime Renaux. The Husqvarna duo saw the Frenchman climb onto the podium during Lommel 3. Both riders from the Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna-Nestaat Team MX2 look back on the last GP at the Stedelijk Motocross Center Lommel.
Commentary Thomas Kjer Olsen: “A positive day for me and a good end to the week after a number of challenging competitions here in Lommel. The changes they made to the track created more flow and combined with the changes we made to the bike, I felt very comfortable on the track. I was able to fight today and I'm happy with my result. It was a good Grand Prix for me. I would like to thank the team for the work they have done and we are aiming for the podium in Italy.”
Commentary Jed Beaton: “It was a disappointing day for me. It wasn't my best day but I'm still healthy, which is important with three games to go. I didn't find my rhythm until the end of the race in both motos, which was frustrating. As a result, the riders in front of me already had a big gap. Anyway my riding felt good and it took me a while to get into it. I'm looking forward to riding on the hard track of Arco di Trento next weekend."
