Guadagnini keeps winning, De Wolf on the podium!
Mattia Guadagini has also increased the pressure on Thibault Benistant in Spain. The Italian wins both heats on the Arroyomolinos circuit. Benistant (3-3) comes second ahead of Kay de Wolf (2-5). In the title battle, the Husqvarna rider makes up ten points over the Frenchman from the Hutten Metaal-Yamaha team. With two games to go, Guadagini is still eighteen points behind Benistant.
1e some
With the Hutten Metaal-Yamaha, Gianluca Facchetti gets off to the best start ahead of Eric Tomas and De Wolf. Tom Guyon follows ahead of compatriot Pierre Goupillon. Guadagini follows just outside the top five but he quickly manages to work his way up. In the fourth laps the Husqvarna rider takes the lead from his compatriot after which he distances himself. De Wolf then also passes Facchetti who also sees his teammate Benistant pass. At the front, Guadagnini has everything under control and he can even go down without losing the lead. De Wolf helps his Husqvarna colleague by finishing second ahead of Benistant, who managed to bounce back well after a poor start. Edberg seems to finish fourth, but the Swede is surprised by Facchetti in the final phase. Van Essen is the only Laaglander after De Wolf, the KTM rider scores eight points by crossing the finish line in thirteenth place.
2e some
Facchetti also has the best start in the second round, followed by De Wolf and Guadagnini. The winner of Mantova 2 and 3 can pass the Eersel native in the first corner. Not much later he passes his compatriot for the lead. Then Guadagnini takes control of the match and gives Maddii Racing the third double in a row! Pierre Goupillon starts fourth, but the Kawasaki rider makes a mistake, which also causes Guyon to fall. Lorenzo Locurcio slips past just like Jorgen-Matthias Talviku. Brent Van Doninck's Estonian teammate manages to displace De Wolf from third place, but due to a slide, Talviku does not get further than fourteenth place. Lorenzo Locurcio manages to pass Facchetti for second place and the Hutten Metaal Yamaha rider appears to be third. In the last round the former 125cc Youth World Champion makes a mistake! This allows teammate Benistant to finish third and 'receive' two more points. Facchetti finished fourth ahead of De Wolf. Van Essen manages to get into the points again, the Gelderlander is now seventeenth.
Next week the championship will come to Lommel where two more competitions will be held!
