Guadagnini the best again, Conijn the best Dutchman!
Last Tuesday, Mattia Guadagnini won both heats. Today the Husqvarna rider did that again, the first moto was an easy victory. He had to fight hard in the second heat, but he was entrusted with that! In addition to the 18-year-old Guadagnini, Jorgen-Matthias Talviku (4-4) and Hakon Fredriksen (3-5) are on the podium in Mantova. Guadagnini makes up 15 points over Thibault Benistant in the title fight, the Frenchman still has a 28 point lead in the EMX250. Marcel Conijn is the best Dutchman, the KTM rider comes fifth in the daily rankings!

Kay de Wolf is the fastest man in training, but the Husqvarna rider does not get off to a good start. Compatriot Conijn does that and takes the lead ahead of Guadagnini, Guyon, Talviku and Pierre Goupillon. In the fourth corner Guadagnini attacks Conijn, but the Maddii Racing driver makes a mistake and sees Guyon pass. The reigning EMX125 champion quickly makes up for his mistake and after five minutes Guadagnini takes the lead! The blonde rider then rides a lonely race and takes his fifth moto victory of the season! Conijn loses second place twice, but Talviku and Fredriksen make the mistake themselves. Conijn sends his Mulders Motoren-KTM to second place ahead of Fredriksen, Talviku and Guyon. De Wolf crashes once and collides again with Lorenzo Locurcio. The 16-year-old rider crosses the finish line in sixteenth place. Twan van Essen scores two points by crossing the finish line in 19th. Wesly Dieudonne (26th), Jens Walvoort (30th) and Jordi Van Mieghem (DNF) did not score.

During today's final heat, Talviku takes the best start ahead of Lorenzo Locurcio, Guyon, Gianluca Facchetti and Lorenzo Corti. Both title candidates have not had the best start, but Guadagnini and Benistant are recovering quickly. At the front, Locurcio tries to put pressure on the leader, but the Kawasaki rider then makes the mistake himself. This gives Talvku extra space, but after ten minutes there is Guadagnini. He fought a duel with Benistant and then there was no contact between the two. Fortunately, they both remain on two wheels, but the Frenchman has no answer to the winner of the previous race. Guadagnini wins for the sixth time this year, Benistant comes second before Locurio manages to get past Talviku in the final phase. The Estonian is fourth again this time ahead of Hakon Fredriksen. In the final round, De Wolf manages to take ninth place from fellow countryman Conijn, who finishes fifth in the daily rankings. Van Essen manages to get into the points again, the rider from Lunteren is now eighteenth. Van Mieghem (22nd), Dieudonne (25th) and Walvoort (27th) do not score. De Wolf remains third in the standings, but Fredriksen is only ten points behind the rider from Eersel.
The championship continues in Spain next Saturday.
