Daniel Willemsen / Robbie Bax Dutch champion ONK Sidecar Masters 2020!
With the just officially announced final cancellation of the final ONK Sidecar Masters on October 24 in Oldebroek, the current standings ONK Sidecar Masters 2020 are also the final standings.
This means that Daniel Willemsen and Robbie Bax have become the official new Dutch sidecar cross champions!
For the cannibal from Lochem, this is no less than the tenth time that he has been able to add the Dutch title to his list of achievements! Willemsen won the title nine times between 1998 and 2008. Now, after a period of twelve years, the tenth Dutch title has been added for the multi-champ from Lochem. For the eighth time, a Dutch title goes to the Bax family. Now, for the first time, to racing driver Robbie Bax, who played an excellent role alongside Willemsen and thus won his first Dutch sidecar cross title! The Willemsen/Bax duo was also the strongest in the previous ONK Sidecar Masters competitions and went to the now unfortunately canceled final in Oldebroek with two day victories and a heat lead in points.
The KNMV made it clear in a statement just distributed that it naturally regrets the state of affairs for everyone involved now that the season is coming to an end in this way. However, it is believed that this 'does not detract from the achievements that have been achieved. Every position has been fought for and the places of honor are more than deserved," said part of the KNMV statement.
