Cas Valk talks about his experience from Mantova!
In Mantova Cas Valk managed to get into the spotlight very well! The KTM rider was even virtually on the podium, but machine trouble threw a spanner in the Nijverdaler's plans. Still, the double 85cc champion of 2019 looks back on a good race.
“The Mantova circuit was new to me but I was able to explore it well on Saturday morning. I was also satisfied with a 17th time. The first heat was a good start and I managed to start the race in the top ten. The first three corners went perfectly and I ended up in sixth place. After that I was able to pick up a good pace and managed to hold this position. Due to mistakes made by others, I managed to climb and finished fourth. The second moto started very well as I took the lead. I was able to hold this for two laps. After almost 10 minutes the engine started to rumble and I had to make a pit stop. Fortunately I was able to finish the race, but I didn't score any points. It's a shame about the setback, but I think I showed myself well. Still eleventh in the daily rankings, so I am very satisfied with this race.”
