Bonacorsi again, Everts hurts his wrist!
Andrea Bonacorsi won the second race of the European 125cc Championship on the sunny Crossodromo Monte Coralli. The 17-year-old rider from Bergmo won both heats. Guillem Farres is second in Italy followed by his teammate David Braceras. Liam Everts only scored during the first heat, but he remains the leader in the standings, although Bonacorsi is on level terms. Scott Smulders scores points in both heats, Ivano van Erp takes points during the second heat.
1e some
It is Constantin Piller who gets the best start ahead of Gerard Congost, Bonacorsi, Farres and Everts. In the first lap it is GasGas driver Farres who worked his way from fourth place to second place. However, the German in the lead offers resistance and will not easily be overtaken. In the first full lap Everts makes a mistake, shortly after taking over fourth place the KTM rider crashes hard. After almost ten minutes, Farres manages to take the lead from Piller, who moments later also sees Bonacorsi pass. The Fantic rider takes the lead after 15 minutes and never relinquishes it. Farres comes second ahead of Kosak Racing driver Piller. Spaniard David Braceras, also riding for Jimmy Verburgh's GasGas Junior Team, finishes fourth ahead of Everts! The leader in the standings comes back very well from tenth place and that earns him important points. Smulders started the race just outside the top ten and the Brabander scored points with a 17th place. The other Dutch people; Unfortunately, Ivano van Erp (23rd), Cas Valk (31st) and Dave Kooiker (35th) did not succeed. The Belgians Junior Bal and Yoran Moens will not start in this round.
2e some
Valerio Lata takes the best start in the second round, the EMX85 champion is immediately attacked by Braceras who takes the lead after a number of corners. Pietro Razzini starts the race in third place over 25 minutes and two laps ahead of Farres and Bonacorsi. Kooiker started sixth ahead of the leader in the standings, Everts! Lata drops back while his compatriots Razzini and Bonicorsi hunt for the Spanish leader. For the first half of the race, Everts remains in seventh place, but then he disappears from the race. The battle becomes more intense at the front because Braceras feels the Italians increasing the pressure. The GasGas driver cannot withstand the pressure and sees both pass. Bonicorsi wins again now ahead of Razzini and Braceras. Farres finished fourth ahead of Quentin Marc Prugnieres, who did not get further than eleventh in the first moto due to a crash in the first corner. Van Erp scores two points with a nineteenth place and Smulders takes the last point.
The next race is next Tuesday and again on this circuit in Faenza.
