Jeremy Seewer wins the first heat in Faenza!
In Faenza, Jeremy Seewer (photo) won the first round during the seventh Grand Prix of the season. It is the Yamaha rider's first moto victory in the MXGP class. The Swiss won the race over 30 minutes and two laps ahead of fast starter Jorge Prado. Third place goes to Romain Febvre who has clearly found his feet on the Kawasaki. Antonio Cairoli crosses the finish line in fourth ahead of Tim Gajser and Glenn Coldenhoff, who is therefore the best Laaglander.
Clement Desalle narrowly misses the top ten, the Kawasaki rider finishes eleventh. Calvin Vlaanderen crosses the finish line in twelfth ahead of Jeremy Vanhorebeek, who fell in the first corner. Brian Bogers scores points and a fifteenth place. Jeffrey Herlings did not take action, the Brabander fell during training on Wednesday morning and it remains to be seen what exactly the damage is.
