Herbreteau takes the win at De Witte Ruijsheuvel
David Herbreteau won the third race of the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 250cc on the beautiful circuit of Oss. The Husqvarna rider won with a first and second place ahead of Kjell Verbruggen (3-3) and Marcel Conijn (2-4). Herbreteau received help from compatriot Thibault Benistant, he won both times but he was disqualified in the first race!
1e some
Youri van 't Ende was the fastest man in training, but when the starting gate fell Conijn took the lead. The Mulders Motoren rider is followed by the French Benistant and Herbreteau. The leader in the EMX250 then takes the lead and wins by a wide margin. However, he later disappears from the results because he 'uried wildly' in the parc-fermé, while there are facilities for cross-country riders who still have to pee before the start. Herbreteau ensures that the victory goes to France. The Husqvarna rider rode in second place for the entire race and was thus promoted to victory. Conijn comes second ahead of KTM MX Team rider Verbruggen who uses the first half of the race to calmly warm up. Verbruggen provides an exciting final, but Conijn does not bow down and comes second. Verbruggen is good for third place, followed by Team Ecomaxx rider Van 't Ende. This one seems to have to bow to Camden McLellan. The South African briefly holds fourth place, but in the last lap Van 't Ende is stronger, placing him fourth ahead of the BT Racing driver.
2e some
In the second round, Benistant takes revenge and he controls the race. The Hutten Metaal Yamaha rider wins with a wide lead over Herbreteau. A few years ago on the F&H Kawasaki, Herbreteau also showed up strongly on this circuit. Now employed by Pol Motors he does the same. Herbreteau is now second ahead of Verbruggen. The Boxtel native manages to finish third again and is once again impressive after switching to this class only months ago. Conijn now crosses the finish line in fourth place ahead of his compatriot Van 't Ende.
