Hakon Osterhagen down in the final phase
After last Saturday's difficult match, Hakon Osterhagen seemed to recover during the third match of the European 125cc Championship. The first moto was difficult with a 28th place, but in the second moto the Norwegian rode in fifth place for no less than 25 minutes. However, things go wrong in the final phase and the CreyMert Racing driver remains scoreless in Faenza. The victory went to Andrea Bonacorsi who also holds the championship lead. Hakon has dropped to 18th place in that ranking.
EMX125:
The start in the first heat is not very good and Hakon is on the wrong side of the crowd in the first corner. From 32nd place he has to fight his way forward. After two laps, four places have already been made up, but then the student himself makes a mistake. Hakon drops back to 37th place and then improves to 28th place, but unfortunately that doesn't yield anything. The best 20 in each round earn points for this strong championship.
The start of the second heat is great and Hakon crosses the first jump in fifth position. A little later, fast starter Smulders is passed and Spaniard Farres has to make way. The FXR-clad rider holds third place for the first three laps, but then Bonacorsi passes halfway through the race, followed by Farres. The lead on sixth place is large and it looks like they will score. When the board goes out for the leader with two laps left, things go wrong. Hakon falls and falls far back, after which he disappears from the match.
Next game:
