EnduroGP: Van Hoof wins, Damiaens second in World Cup 4S
The Belgian riders continued their momentum today during day one of the Italian EnduroGP! Last weekend, enduro debutant Dietger Damiaens won, Spoleto seems to be Mathias van Hoof's weekend. The Herental Husqvarna rider won the Supertest yesterday and was also the strongest in the World Cup Open 4S class today.
Nothing new under the sun in the EnduroGP, where Steve Holcombe (Beta) also took the lead today. In the E1, the Belgian talent Antoine Magain (Sherco) continues to confirm. His third place -eighth in the scratch- yesterday during the Supertest and 7(!) top-three finishes out of 10 also show that the podium is not a distant dream. Bravo Antoine!
In the Junior E2 class we find Matthew Van Oevelen and Erik Willems in seventh and eighth. Mika Vanderheyden (World Cup Open 4S) is also neatly in the top 10 again. Will we see another Belgian on the podium in Italy tomorrow? In any case, the chance seems high!
