Dex van den Broek lord and master
With two clear heat victories, Dex van den Broek also won the second race of the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 65cc Small Wheels. On the Delfzijl circuit, the Brabander managed to control the race. The KTM rider is comfortably in the lead in the standings with four moto victories.
1st heat:
During the training sessions the circuit is still wet and muddy due to the persistent rain during the night. Despite this, Dex manages to set the fastest time, allowing him to start from pole position. When the starting gate drops for the first time, the 10-year-old rider reacts perfectly. He takes a good start and comes out of the first corner as the leader! He then manages to break away from his pursuers lap after lap. Things go wrong in the third round, but the leading position is not in danger. The heat ended as winner with a 31 second lead.
2st heat:
The second heat starts less well for Dex, he chooses the wrong track and therefore does not get the right focus before the gate falls. He comes out of the first corner in eighth place on the Paez Racing prepared KTM machine. He then quickly works his way forward and manages to displace fast starter Gert de Knikker from the lead before completing the first lap. Dex then controls the race and wins again, now with a 42 second lead.
Next game:
The championship continues at a high pace because on Saturday September 12th the race will take place on the HALMAC Halle circuit.
