Coldenhoff and Monticelli about Faenza3
The third Grand Prix in eight days at the Faenza circuit did not go smoothly for Standing Construct GasGas Factory Racing. Glenn Coldenhoff and his teammate Ivo Monticelli tell their story about the race at the Crossodromo Monte Coralli.
Glenn Coldenhoff: ''The day started well and a number of changes had been made to the track to make it slightly different from Wednesday. In the timed training I was in fifth place for a long time and eventually ended the session in sixth place. In the first moto I didn't get a good start and it took a lot of energy to get to the front. In the second moto my start was much better and I came out of the first corner in eighth place. Then I worked my way up to fifth place. It took me too much time to pass Prado but it was difficult to push too much on this slippery track. I'm not satisfied with the results, but I'm not disappointed either. I will continue to work hard and I am looking forward to the next match in Mantova.”
Ivo Monticelli: ''It's been a tough week for me in Italy. I'm devastated by my stomach flu. I felt better this morning but then I twisted my ankle in training. I had to have the ankle taped before the race and that made it difficult to ride at the limit. Despite this, my first moto was okay. I finished in fifteenth place after a nice battle with Calvin Vlaanderen and I was satisfied with that. At the beginning of the second moto I hurt my ankle again in a rut and then I crashed. I just missed the points and that was difficult for me. I now have two weeks to recover and I will do everything I can to be 100 percent fit in Mantova."
