Antonio Cairoli the best in Faenza 3
The Sicilian did a good job today in the world championship. He wins the third GP in Faenza thanks to two second places in the series. After winning the first series, Jorge Prado managed to squeeze another holeshot out of his KTM, but then quickly had to bow under the force of Tim Gajser and Cairoli.
In lap one, Gajser was able to quickly pass Mitch Evans, while Desalle passed in ninth place. After three laps it was close racing with the first seven pilots within five seconds. Two laps later, Gajser takes over the leading position from Jorge Prado, who then has to duel with a fast-rising Romain Febvre. Seewer is also performing at a high level again because he follows in the footsteps of the Frenchman, but afterwards he has to pay for his efforts in the first series.
This also applies to Prado, who drops to sixth place at the finish. Glenn Coldenhoff did excellently with a fifth place ahead of Jorge Prado and Clément Desalle. Gajser wins the series before Cairoli who wins the match and immediately takes over the lead in the World Cup from the unfortunate Jeffrey Herlings. Gajser also overtakes The Bullet in the MXGP standings. Jorge Prado can also join us on the podium again.
