When will there be a motocross again?
In the first half of 2020 we were able to publish calendar changes ad nauseam. The cause was COVID-19, which disrupted all events worldwide. The organizers had to take into account ever-changing government rules, which meant that the calendars were constantly adjusted.
It became clear at the end of June that the virus did not take the seasons into account. Once again adjustments were made, but competitions were also cancelled. In the meantime, it appears that the restart of motocross at the highest level can take place provided the necessary rules are observed. Next week the MXGP starts with a triptych in Latvia. And in the US, the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, better known as the AMA Nationals, starts a few days later. Earlier this week it was also announced that there will be no Motocross of the Nations this year. Too many countries cannot make the move to Matterley Basin due to the imposed rules of their country.
In our own country, all amateur federations have thrown in the towel, which means that very little motocross will be done this year. The popular BK Oldtimercross will also not be there in 2020 because these competitions are organized in collaboration with the VMCF and the VLM. The BMB calendar includes a single BC stage, which will take place on August 30 at the Nismes circuit. We are curious with you whether there will be any more competitions. Because you can no longer see the forest for the trees due to the many changes, we have listed all the calendars for you.
