VIDEO: 1980 USGP Motocross in Carlsbad
The tenth Grand Prix of the FIM 500cc World Championship was held at the Carlsbad Raceway. The Americans were crying out for a fellow countryman who could win the USGP500. No fewer than 22.000 spectators wanted to cheer Brad Lackey to victory, but then he had to deal with Andre Malherbe and Roger De Coster who had announced that this would be his last season.
However, things turned out completely differently on June 22, 1980, with none of the big names winning. There was a big surprise, check out the images and enjoy!
