Back injury for Benoit Paturel
During time training this morning, both Benoit Paturel and Dylan Walsh crashed. Both JM Honda Racing riders got into trouble due to a timekeeping cable that came out of the ground when the finish jump was started. Paturel hurt his back.
The Frenchman still started in the first heat but experienced too much hindrance. In the meantime, an examination and scan showed that Paturel suffered a broken T12 vertebra. He also has a crack in his tailbone. We wish Benoit a speedy recovery.
