Opening French sand championship not in Berck-sur-Mer
The competition in Berck-sur-Mer would be the start of the Championnat de France des Sables, but the municipal council saw no possibility of this event taking place in the center with a restriction of 5000 people. The race was one of the seven races for this championship.
The restriction to 5000 people runs until October 30, making an organization impossible. During the previous organizations, Berck-sur-Mer received between 60.000 and 80.000 spectators and 600 pilots. The race in Berck on October 10 and 11 will therefore be canceled and the first race will take place in Loon Plage on October 24 and 25.
