Monster Energy-YAMAHA-Wilvo about Kegums2
During the fourth race of the FIM MXGP World Championship, Jeremy Seewer (photo) was very close to Grand Prix victory. The Swiss finished second behind Antonio Cairoli. Here the Swiss tells his story about Kegums2, just like teammates Gautier Paulin and Arnaud Tonus.
Jeremy Seewer:
“We had two nice heats, also on Sunday. I'm very content. I finished strong, had some nice battles and came back well from a bad start. I feel good, but on the other hand I have been very close to a heat victory twice and today I also came close to a Grand Prix victory. I achieved good results on this treacherous circuit. It was easy to make mistakes here. My engine works perfectly. There are still a few small things we need to work on so that we can make some improvements and then we will be ready for the last match here in Latvia."
Gautier Paulin:
“I broke my right finger last week. It is now quite swollen and painful, especially when I land on the brakes after landing. It's not easy, but I'm setting good lap times. My starting position was good today but I crashed again with Calvin Vlaanderen. As I continued on, a rider in front of me stopped his bike. I hit this rider and then I got hit by Mitch Evans myself. Sometimes things don't go the way you want. I started very last and ended up thirteenth. The feeling is good and I am happy with my bike. I have some pain here and there from all the falls I've had. I'll definitely feel it tomorrow. I like the engine the way it is. I have everything I need to compete with the riders at the front. I have the speed. You can see this from the lap times. I just have to avoid the race incidents to achieve good results."
Arnaud Tonus:
“The timed training went very well. It was all close together. In the last lap everything went perfectly and I managed to set a second fastest time. This ensured a good starting position in both heats. In the first moto I got a good start and rode very well throughout the race. Unfortunately I made a mistake on the penultimate lap, which was a shame. I was under pressure and made the mistake that left me ninth. My start in the second moto was not good and I rode the entire moto in tenth place. The level is high. I have to look at the positives and it was much better now than last weekend.
