Knee problems keep Chanton sidelined
A major setback for CreyMert Racing and Maurice Chanton. During the fourth race in the EMX250, the Swiss had to watch due to knee problems. In the previous race it seemed that the problems were under control and the next day there was one again. The race on the Kegums circuit was won by Thibault Benistant, the Frenchman is also the leader in the standings after four races.
EMX250:
Last Tuesday things actually went quite well for Maurice, who managed to stay in the points for a long time during the first heat. Later, the training deficit surfaced and the KTM rider dropped back, but the race was completed. Unfortunately, the finish was not seen in the second round, but the CreyMert rider still took to the circuit with confidence on Saturday morning. Qualifying started well and the fastest time was set early. Later the problems with the knee surfaced again and after intensive consultation it was decided to skip the matches. A major disappointment for both the rider and the Belgian team.
Next game:
The EMX250 will not continue until October 4 in Mantova. The next race on the MXGP calendar is on the weekend of September 4-5. Then the EMX125 and also the FIM WMX World Championship should continue in Turkey.
