Gajser wins the first heat in Kegums ahead of Coldenhoff
The first heat during the third MXGP race of the season was won by Tim Gajser. The Slovenian took the best start and won, but was not always in the lead. Glenn Coldenhoff had the lead for a while, but after he briefly went off the track, Gajser struck. The Honda rider wins ahead of Coldenhoff and Romain Febvre. Jeffrey Herlings doesn't have a great start and needs to get up to operating temperature. The KTM rider then managed to recover and finished fourth ahead of Jeremy Seewer.
The best Belgian is Jeremy Vanhorebeek, he crosses the finish line in tenth ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen and Clement Desalle comes in twelfth. Brian Bogers scores three points by crossing the finish line in 18th.
