Jeremy Van Horebeek doubles in 24MX Tour
Jeremy Van Horebeek showed a masterclass in sand riding today in the opening race of the French 24MX Tour. The Jerre led from start to finish in both the first and second heats. Jordi Tixier (2-3) and Milko Potisek (3-4) were on the podium in Magescq (Bud Racing Training Camp).
Van Horebeek was just three seconds faster in his qualifying group. An unmistakable warning from the SR Honda Motoblouz pilot to his competitors. In the first heat he had to tolerate Zach Pichon for less than a lap, then Jeremy's demonstration started!
In the second moto, 'the Jerre' - now in the lead - was followed by HRC Honda rider Mitch Evans. The Honda factory rider would stay behind Van Horebeek for the entire race but was unable to overtake. At the finish the difference was almost 4 seconds. Reigning French champion Maxime Desprey started his campaign well. Although the Yamaha rider is not a sand specialist, he held up well with a fifth place (4-5). The Belgian Daymond Martens finished 10th in Magescq thanks to P11 and P12 in the series.
