Three moto wins for Future MX Team
With three round victories, the Future MX Team can look back on a successful first competition of the KNMV Open Dutch Youth Championship. The first major race of the season was finally held on the Boekel circuit. Kash van Hamond started this championship very well, winning both heats! His teammate Ruben van Hoof wins the second round but does not finish the race due to a crash during the first round.
50cc:
In the timed training, Kash recorded a second time, just behind Harry Dale. The Brit takes the best start in the first moto ahead of Kash. The duo immediately distances themselves from the pursuers and it looks like it will be a duel. In the second laps, however, De Bestaar makes a mistake that causes him to fall. Twelve seconds behind, Kash can continue and little by little he catches up with the leader. However, the race is too short to completely eliminate the deficit, so second place seems to be the maximum. On the last lap Dale makes a mistake and falls, allowing Kash to take the lead and win the first moto!
In the second moto Kash takes the lead but Dale passes on the outside. This one has a higher tempo and he immediately works his way out. The 7-year-old rider chooses his own pace and that pays off. In the third laps Dale falls and Kash takes the lead. A nice duel follows for the lead and thus the victory of the day. Dale tries a different driving line and in the exact same corner he falls again. Kash also wins the second heat and can climb to the top step of the podium.
85cc KW:
In the time training, Ruben immediately shows that he is looking forward to it. He trains the fastest and that gives him confidence for the competitions. The first moto starts well and the Future MX Team rider immediately takes the lead. However, things go wrong in the second laps and the 11-year-old rider crashes hard. He hurt himself badly and had to leave the competition. Fortunately, apart from some bruises, the damage is not too bad and the rider from Sint Oedenrode will start the second round as normal. Once again he takes the lead with the Hasternberg Racing-tuned Husqvarna and no one sees him again. The second heat is won with a 31 second lead over Luuk Wouters.
Next time:
The next match won't be long in coming, the points will be distributed again next Saturday. Then the race takes place on the Delfzijl circuit.
