Alessandro Lupino dominates in Castiglione del Lago
The second round of the Italian Maxxis Prestige Championship was won convincingly by Alessandro Lupino. The Gebben Van Venrooy Racing rider was the strongest in both heats. Lupino was joined on the podium by Samuele Bernardini (2-6) and Michele Cervellin (6-3).
Due to the heavy rain from Friday to Saturday, the track was initially muddy yesterday. Even in those difficult circumstances, Mattia Guadagnini stood head and shoulders above the rest in the MX2. In the MX1, former world champion David Philippaerts easily reached the podium, finishing fourth with equal points. The third round of the championship will take place in Ponte a Egola on September 12 and 13.
