World Championship points during the MX of Nations final!
Due to the corona crisis, many adjustments have been made to the calendar of the Motocross World Championship. Under normal circumstances the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations is the final of the season, but now eleven more GPs will follow after the Nations Cup on September 26-27 in Matterley Basin!
It is therefore less interesting for both riders and teams to participate in the Motocross of Nations. It is of course an additional risk, especially for the title candidates, to participate in this 'extra' competition. We previously reported here on MXMag that promoter Infront Moto Racing also wanted to distribute Grand Prix points during the MXoN.
That plan is now final and that means that a Grand Prix will also be held during 'The Nations'! It is not yet clear exactly how this will all work out in terms of scoring and the participants, but more news will be released about this in the near future!
