Mike Alessi hit during cycling training
A few days ago, Mike Alessi was hit by a truck while training with his racing bike. That happened in Callahan, Florida. The truck committed a hit-and-run accident, but Alessi was quickly helped by bystanders. Judging by the bicycle, the impact was very severe because his carbon steed was reduced to scrap.
Alessi is back home and recovering from his injuries. He has a large cut and a bruise on his head. The wound on his head required ten stitches and several were also needed on his right elbow. Mike Alessi: "The driver was going about 110 mph when the vehicle hit me. I'm just so grateful to be alive now. It was the scariest thing that ever happened to me!"
