The honorary chairman of the MSC Teutschenthal has passed away
This morning Joachim Jahnke passed away at the age of 82. The honorary chairman of the MSC Teutschenthal died of cancer. He is one of the founders of MSC Teutschenthal and was active in the sport until his last day!
Jahnke, who comes from Halle, was first active in motorsport, but after the 'Halle-Saale-Loop' race track was closed, he looked for another hobby. That became the disused coal and gravel quarry in Teutschenthal. The events at the Talkessel Circuit have been written into the history books with first GP victories for Marc de Reuver, Ken de Dycker and Brian Jorgensen. The first GP was held in 1996 and the highest point was without a doubt the Motocross of Nations of 2013.
