Bobby Hewitt no longer involved with Rockstar Energy Racing
The rumors have been around for a while, but it has now been officially announced that Bobby Hewitt is no longer employed at Rockstar Energy Racing. The American started his team in 2005 and soon after became known as 'Motosport Xtreme Team Green' with Dean Wilson as one of the riders! When Rockstar Energy was brought in as a sponsor, 'RER Racing' was born and they collaborated with Suzuki and KTM. The team was taken over by Husqvarna several years ago, after which Hewitt continued as team manager.
The cooperation between both parties has ended with immediate effect. The biggest success dates back to 2018 when Hewitt won the AMA Supercross title with Jason Anderson. During this season's finale in Salt Lake City, Zach Osborne, Anderson and Wilson took the stage at Rice-Eccles Stadium in what was Hewitt's final game with the team.
