Broken collarbone for Jorge Prado
Things are not going well for the reigning MX2 world champion. After his leg injury last winter, Jorge Prado has to be sidelined again. Today he suffered a broken collarbone in Olmen. An operation turned out to be necessary and was still performed today.
He lost control of his KTM and crashed hard on the Honda Park circuit in Olmen. The young Spaniard spent the lockdown due to Covid-19 in Lommel and started motorcycle training two weeks ago. Today there were other well-known top players at work in Olmen. After an initial inspection and the resulting X-rays, a broken collarbone was diagnosed and the decision was made to operate immediately. His father Jesus Prado was also confronted with an injury a few days ago. He fell when he went cycling with Jorge. His shoulder became dislocated. A blessing in disguise for Jorge Prado is that the MXGP season will not resume until sometime in August. A full recovery from his injury suffered today is expected by then.
