Roczen and Brayton about Salt Lake City 6
For Team HRC USA, Salt Lake City 6 presented two different stories. Ken Roczen had a flawless evening and stayed off the stage. His teammate Justin Brayton was thrilled with his performance at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Here on MXMag, both riders look back on this race.
Ken Roczen:
“The penultimate match in Salt Lake City was good but not more than that. I would rather be defeated this way than have to fight the physical problems as well. I just wasn't fast enough tonight. I really tried my best to at least get on the podium, we were close, but unfortunately not enough. We charged a good charge. Due to my problems in the heat race I didn't have the best starting position, but that wasn't the problem today. We fought well and came fourth. That's not what we wanted, but it was a great fight and that's all we can ask for.”
Justin Brayton:
'This was my best yet for me. I had a great start and was in second place for a while. I rode the laps I wanted to do, ran good lap times and was able to compete with the riders I was supposed to compete against. I'm quite proud of this. The sixth isn't great, but overall I'm happy. One more and then the season is over, let's do it and make it a great finale.”
