Roczen and Brayton talk about SLC4
With a fifth and twelfth place, Team HRC obviously does not look back on Salt Lake City 4 with satisfaction. The team led by Erik Kehoe certainly expected more from the fourteenth race of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. Ken Roczen and Justin Brayton tell their stories and look further!
Ken Roczen
“After two 'free' days I came back to the stadium to try to get everything back in order. I felt much better and calmer today and that was noticeable immediately in the heat race. I was able to put up a fight, at least for part of the race. Of course I'm not 100% yet, because two days is unfortunately not enough to get everything sorted out, but it was much better than the previous race! We will just continue to fight to try to finish at least second in the final standings. We have the speed and the good starts, now we just have to get the body in the right shape. Then I think we will be much more consistent and can be on the top step of the podium.”
Justin Brayton
'It was my roughest and toughest final yet. I don't know exactly what was going on, but today most of the day was just a struggle. The best thing about this format of races in Salt Lake City is that we can get back to racing in just a few days! That's what I'm going to focus on and try to forget about this match. I was struggling with some kind of stomach virus and didn't have the energy I needed to shine. It was definitely a bummer, but it's all good and we'll be back in action in a few days.”
