Osborne wanted to hold the lead for as long as possible
And also in Salt Lake City 5 Zach Osborne was on stage! The Husqvarna rider even led 22 laps. Osborne looks back with satisfaction on the sixteenth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 450SX. Here he tells his story with his teammates at Rockstar Energy-Husqvarna Factory Racing USA-RER.
Zach Osborne:
“The whole time I was in the lead I was trying to set a new personal record. I did something I've never done before, so I'm happy with this competition. I choked a little at the end, this was a tough final for the conditions here in Salt Lake City. The altitude and just the intensity is tough with so many races in a row.”
Jason Anderson:
“It felt really good to start the day with a win in the heat race. In the I came fifth, but the difference with the winner was only seven seconds and more than 20 minutes of the race. All in all, I felt good all day and I expect to be able to fight for victory next weekend.”
Dean Wilson:
“There were some good and bad things today. I'm excited about the heat race win. Before the final I had adjusted some things in the setup and I struggled with that throughout the race. We are healthy and take many positive points into the final round on Sunday.”
Jalek Swoll:
“The day started well, my speed was good straight away and I quickly found the right setting for today. However, the final was chaotic, but that's the way it is and I'm looking forward to achieving a good result on Sunday and ending the championship well.”
