MX Dalecin: Victory Tom Vialle, bad luck Jago Geerts!
During the first round of the Czech Championship in Dalecin, Tom Vialle became the great triumphant. The Frenchman won both series. Jago Geerts finished second in the first heat and seemed to attack Vialle, but suffered engine trouble. Rene Hofer (3-2) and Simon Längenfelder (5-3) reached the final podium in second and third respectively.
Polesitter Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM) took victory in the first moto ahead of Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha). He had to return from third position while Vialle was in the lead. Rene Hofer, home driver Richard Šikyňa and Simon Längenfelder (GasGas Factory Racing) completed the top 5. Nathan Renkens was also in good shape with a seventh fastest time in the morning and confirmed this with a solid ninth place.
The second series started with an hour and a half delay. Vialle now took the holeshot again and was able to repeat his tour de force of the first race. This time he had to take into account a hunting Geerts. Even though he was third again, the former youth world champion clearly drove towards his World Cup rival. However, no attack occurred. Jago's Yamaha lost power and he eventually had to retire due to a technical defect.
Nathan Renkens was in a good position again and was now seventh. As a result, the KTM Belgium rider finished in sixth place overall. Also for Liam Evert the recovery was positive. In the first race he had to settle for 22nd place. However, he now finished 12th, good for P17 overall.
