Ferrandis and Sexton extend the titles!
The East-West Shoot Out was won by Chase Sexton to secure the EastCoast title. On the West Coast, Dylan Ferrandis came into Rice-Eccles Stadium with a seven-point lead. The Frenchman finished fourth and with that he also managed to extend the title! Behind Sexton, Shane Mcelrath finished second ahead of Michael Mosiman.
In the final, Jalek Swoll gets the best start but Mcelrath quickly takes the lead while Forkner works his way into second place. Both Ferrandis and Sexton have not started well and need to work! In the second round Forkner falls hard and needs help to get back on his feet. The race management grabs the red flag and a restart follows.
At the restart, without Forkner, Jett Lawrence takes the best start ahead of Mcelrath and Sexton. In the initial phase, Mcelrath opens the attack on the leader, but the Australian manages to prevent this. Sexton climbs to second place after which the Geico rider takes the lead from his teammate. Mcelrath comes more quickly and a cat and mouse game begins for the East Coast title, but Sexton sees the danger. He takes distance and manages to win the final ahead of Mcelrath and Mosiman. Ferrandis gives Star Racing their third West Coast title in a row after Aaron Plessinger won the title in 2018.
