Zach Osborne on his podium finish
There was also a Husqvarna rider on the podium during Salt Lake City 4. Zach Osborne (pictured) finished second behind Cooper Webb but ahead of Eli Tomac. Here Osborne tells his story and his teammates also have their say.
Zach Osborne
“I have a very good feeling and know that it is now a matter of continuing to build. I enjoyed this match and feel very good here at Rice-Eccles Stadium. I managed to get out of trouble very well both times. Another podium finish naturally gives confidence, so I am quite satisfied with my race.”
Jans Anderson
“I felt really good in my heat, I rode really well and was looking forward to the “Main Event”. My start was good and I was immediately in the top five. Due to a mistake I crashed and as a result I lost a lot of places, so I didn't get further than seventh place. I had to work hard for the points, I'm looking forward to the next match.”
Dean Wilson
“Qualifying was quite good, that is usually not a problem, but the starts have to be much better. I also didn't get a good start in the final and I needed way too much time to make up places. From 17th to 8th place is of course not a great result. The big advantage is that we will now be back in action quickly, so we will try again on Sunday. We will be working on the starts in the coming days and expect to finish in the top five.”
Michael Mosiman
“It's good to be behind the starting gate again. It is a strong field of participants and everyone is there. It was quite hectic today, it is a different tension than we are normally used to. I'm a bit disappointed with fifth place, especially the driving didn't go so well. The points are in, but I expect to drive better and score in the next race!”
