Jason Anderson happy with podium finish in SLC3
The previous race saw Zach Osborne on the podium, during Salk Lake City 3 it was Jason Anderson and the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Team. All four drivers tell their story about the third race of the season at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Jason Anderson
“I'm happy to be on the podium. I feel like I'm getting closer to my old form and that my mindset is a little better. Now I just try to keep building. I feel like I had the right speed in the last two races, so I'm going to work on some things. In the next matches I will try to make it a little less easy for the title candidates during the finals.”
Zach Osborne
“It was a good day, I felt really good in the one qualifying session we got and the heat race was also good with the holeshot, even though I had a small leak. The final also started well and I took the lead straight away, but I was riding a bit tight and the track was a bit tricky for me. I couldn't find my rhythm so it was a difficult Main. Fortunately, it was good for fourth place, so we are happy to take that. I have a bit of consistency to build with, so I'm happy with it.”
Dean Wilson
“It was a different day than we normally have with the weather conditions and with only one qualification. Unfortunately I didn't get off to a good start and had a lot of wheelspin on the starting gate, so I started the race in the back field. I knew it would be important not to fall and try to make up at least one place every lap. It went quite well, but certainly not flawless, but I achieved sixth. With that bad sprint to the first corner, that is still a good result.”
Jalek Swoll
“Honestly, it was one of my best days results-wise, but it wasn't what I felt was going to happen today. I started quite well in the Main Event, was at the front but still dropped to sixth place. The circuit was quite brutal, but all I wanted to do was stay on both wheels and finish. I'm glad I did that to bring home a career-best finish.”
